About Me.

Catherine Olaso One of my heros, Anne Frank, captured the essence of my love/need for writing perfectly when she said, “I can shake off everything if I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.

I am addicted to words, to thoughts – to all things writing. I love the way words sound. The images they project. The emotions they provoke. Words are powerful magic...

My personal writing path has detoured at times throughout my life. I earned an Associate degree in Arts and Sciences at BYU Idaho, then followed up with a Bachelor degree in Human Services at California State University Fullerton, emphasizing psychology – Counseling.

But wherever I meandered, my enthusiasm for the written word never strayed far.

This indomitable passion has revealed itself in small bits and pieces as I have come to understand who I am and what I have always been meant to be: a writer.

I live in Boise, Idaho with my family. Besides writing and the adventures of motherhood, other joys in my life include – my cat, who keeps me company during the long hours at my computer, all things botanical, (my dream is to someday have an English garden to sit and write in), PBS’ Masterpiece Theater and of course, chocolate. (As long as it isn't tainted by mint - blech!)
